Sir Stafford Nye is the central character (or is he?) in Passenger to Frankfurt. In appearance and general character he is extremely similar to Sir Rupert from the Agatha Christie novel They Came To Baghdad, presumably as both were based on the same caricature of real life diplomat and adventurer unknown.
